Fear Not: The Scale is Tipped in Your Favor

Deuteronomy 20:1 NKJV  “When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

None of should be surprised when problems come our way.  Jesus told us that in the world we would have trouble (John 16:33).  It seems like each day brings its own challenges and struggles.  Praise God that as we continue to walk with Him and grow in the knowledge of who He is and what He has done many of those battles become so mundane we rarely think of them anymore and simply walk in the peace and victory He has provided.

Still, there are battles.  And some of them seem to be much bigger than others.  There is an enemy, “who comes to steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10), and sometimes just like the Children of Israel did, you see the battle coming.  But thank God He is with you.  It doesn’t matter how many horses or chariots or people more numerous than you come out against you.  It doesn’t matter the virus, bacteria or name of the disease.  It doesn’t matter the financial attack of credit fraud, being laid off, or inflation.  It doesn’t matter how many things are piling up against you at once.  The Lord says, “do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you,.

There may be a battle, but God is with you and that tips the scale in your direction every time.  No matter how impossible the odds or how outmatched you seem to be… FEAR NOT.  God is with you and the scale is tipped in your favor.  All you have to do is stand up.  The Apostle Paul even wrote of the ever persistent conflict we have with the enemy and that our ability to withstand the attack and walk in the victory Christ provided was contingent on the stance we take (Ephesians 6:12-20).  Being reminded and fully convinced that God is with you and for you is
the foundation to walking in faith (Hebrews 11:6).  Fear Not!  The scale is tipped in your favor.
