His Promise of Fearlessness

Deuteronomy 28:66-67 NKJV  Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life.  (67)  In the morning you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ And at evening you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see.

The kind of torment talked about in this verse is overwhelming to think about.  We’ve all experienced fear, but few of us have experienced this constant state of fear, quite literally, a fear of everything all the time.  It breaks my heart to say, but some do live in constant fear.  But it doesn’t have to be so.  None of us have to walk in fear ever.  Fear exists as a result of the fall of man, but this kind of fear only had a right to come on people who didn’t follow God.

Deuteronomy 28:15 NKJV  “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

For those who follow Him and make it a point to live their lives with and in His presence we see a much different promise.  The promise of fearlessness.

Psalm 91:1, 5 NKJV  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (5) You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

You don’t have to be afraid.  If you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, then you never have to be afraid of anything.  Much more than that you have been redeemed from the curse of the law that brought fear on those who broke His commands.

Galatians 3:13 NKJV  Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”),

Christ has redeemed us from fear.  GLORY!!!  You never have to fear again.  Christ experience fear on the cross at Calvary so you could walk free.  Christ has redeemed you from fear.  Keep reading those verses in Psalm 91:1,5 and Galatians 3:13 until faith begins to rise in you and  FEAR NOT!
