Psalms 56:11 NKJV In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Is your trust in your faithful Father? Yes… Then fear not!
We have a Heavenly Father who is eternally faithful and totally trustworthy. Isaiah 55:11 tells us that His Word will NOT return VOID. Numbers 23:19 says, “He is not a man that He should lie…” These verses and many more like them let us know that if God says it, He means it.
You can put your trust in God because He is trustworthy (Titus 1:2) and faithful (Deut 7:9, 2Corinthians 1:18, 1 John 1:9). One of my favorite verses is Hebrews 11:11. It says that Sarah received the promise of God because she judged Him as faithful. In other words, Sarah put her trust in God.
Hebrews 11:11 NKJV By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
Look at the words bolded and read them. “Sarah herself received because she judged Him faithful who had promised.” The same way Sarah received her promise from God is the same way that you receive yours. Sarah knew the promise of God for her situation. Do you know what God says about your situation? If you don’t find out. Find specific Scriptures that speak about what He has said in that area and believe them. Sarah didn’t have to fear about “what if…” because she had the promise from the Faithful Father.
Many times while ministering to people I hear them say. I know the Bible says and mention a promise or quote a Scripture, BUT followed by “I’m afraid that it won’t happen” or “What if nothing changes”. This is where we must take those thoughts captive and get stay on believing Him only. Tell your head to “Shut up!” Say, “Shut up, head!” Then speak the promise that our Faithful Father gave you in His Word.
When you read through the life of Abraham and Sarah you’ll find that Sarah didn’t always judge God as faithful. She tried to manufacture the promise of God in her life (Genesis 16), but that didn’t work out to well for anybody. However, she ultimately got to a place where she completely relied and trust in God’s promise to her. When she did, she no longer feared ridicule or what anyone might say. She received her promise because she judged God as Faithful.
He is our Faithful Father. Put your trust in Him. Find your promise and believe. There is nothing to fear. Fear Not!
